Blog#4

This week we will focus on one family, who proves to us that the American Dream is still alive. Jende and Neni Jonga work as a cohesive pair to ensure their son has a great future. Jende works as a chauffeur for Mr. Clark Edwards. Neni works while attending college so she can one day go to pharmacy school. Coming from Cameroon, Africa, they wanted to experience the American Dream for themselves.
Jende tells us how his father was a nobody, and he would have been one as well. Thanks to America, he was given more opportunities than he would have had in Africa. His life seems to be going according to plan as he hopes his son will look at him as a role model. The Jonga’s want their son to grow up in a world of opportunities where he is free to choose what he does with his life. The last thing they could ever wish for, is for their son to be trapped in a life that his parents made for him.
