The Sustainability of The American Dream relates to being able to do anything. Anyone from any background can make it in this world. People from all over the world consider America as the place to have great success. They come to attain their goals and dreams in their ideal life. This dream is sustainable because people today still believe in it.
In the book Behold The Dreamers, Jende and his family are a great example of the American Dream. He confessed that if he didn’t leave Africa, he wouldn’t have a chance at success. In America, he says he is able to pursue anything he wants. His wife believed in him, that is why she came out to America with him. Together they keep the American Dream alive, which in turn makes it sustainable.
